EIRA V. SCHWYZER, FOUNDER & CEO
Hi and, welcome! So glad our paths have crossed. Thank you for taking the time to learn about The Distillery, Inc. I'm looking forward to being in touch and, perhaps, even working together.
This is the page where I am supposed to list my experience and expertise, just to let you know how I got to where I am today and possibly make you feel more inclined to work with me. So, I'll tell you that I am a proud graduate of USC , (Fight on!), class of '98. I hold a BA in Psychology and Gerontology, having always been fascinated with the mind, our thoughts, and how it is that what we think affects how we feel and how we age. I have spent the last 20 plus years in the entertainment industry, providing full-scale business management and estate coordination services to high-net worth actors, directors, producers, as well as many in the political and private sectors.
I grew up playing the best sport (please don't argue this point) in the world: soccer. With a Colombian-Nigerian mom and a Croatian dad, there was no choice. But I fell in love with the sport and it continues to bring me so much joy (and pain!) to this very day. I loved being part of a team (still do), I enjoyed competing (in soccer, track and field, and triathlons), and I still think and train like an athlete today. Playing sports shaped me into who I am and how I approach the world. Being an athlete got me through the good and the rough times. I see sports as a metaphor for life, and how I take care of my body is reflective of how I show up in life.
I am not only passionate about sports, but about fitness and holistic nutrition as well. I care about and study everything that nourishes a person: what you eat, how you move your body, your mindset, your spiritual practices, the quality of your sleep, the environment and relationships that you cultivate. I am in daily awe of not just what my body can do, but what my mindset helps me achieve - not simply success (whatever that means) but peace and freedom. I have engaged in a lifelong process of distilling and repurposing my own athletic intelligence and am grateful for how doing so continues to serve me so well in all areas of my life. And it is this very process that I happily share with my clients through transformational coaching.
I am based in Los Angeles, where I was born and raised, and have two incredible children that I adore. I cherish powerful human connection so will chat away with anyone that makes the time. I enjoy great food and wine - preferably along with some good music and dancing. I love to read and do lots of it while sitting out in nature and basking in the sunshine. I value my community and partner with various non-profits to be of service in any way that I can. I am also a partner at Absolute Certainty, Inc., a consulting firm that delivers strategic solutions for clients in the entertainment, media, technology, real estate, and leisure industries.
Curiosity piqued? Cool. Reach out and let's see what synergies exist between us. Let's do something valuable together. Cheers!
